How to Make Sure You Achieve Your Goals in 2024

Having trouble staying focused? Do your goals seem hard to reach? If so, you’re in luck because I designed this post specifically for you.

We often have difficulties sticking to our goals, especially these days with so much going on in the world. I’m here to give you methods that can help you achieve your goals. It is my hope that by the time you finish reading you’ll know exactly what you need to do.

To help you achieve your goals in 2022, you’ll have to:

Set SMART Goals

When I’m talking about SMART goals I’m not only talking about intelligence — but S.M.A.R.T; a method of goal setting that helps keep you on track.

SMART stands for: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Time-Bound.

So if we’re talking about achieving our goals, we need to make sure they are:

1. Specific

Ask yourself what goal you’re pursuing.

Example: “I want to improve my stamina and run in a marathon”.

2. Measurable

How will the goal be measured?

Example: “I will go jogging everyday and see how much my endurance improves every week”.

3. Attainable

Is the goal realistic?

Example: “I have plenty of spare time after work so I can afford to jog everyday”.

4. Relevant

Does the goal align with my inner self?

Example: Yes, I’ve always found joy in working out. This will be an extension of that”.

5. Time-Bound

When will the goal need to be met?

Example: I have one year to raise my endurance for the marathon”.

Because of their effectiveness, SMART goals are commonly used in business, but you can also use them in your personal life, from creating fulfilling relationships to effective time management.

No matter which area of your life you want to improve, this strategy saves you the wasted time of not knowing precisely what you want or how to get it. SMART goals can help you “ladder up” to the bigger goals you set when you identify your purpose. Purposefully pursuing success and living with intention is what SMART goals are all about.
